Worlds Best Hoof Oil is easy to apply and does not solidify in cold weather.
DIRECTIONS
ALWAYS shake the bottle (to mix all the oils together) and pour a small amount into a jar or use direct from the Travel Pack with the Free Brush.
Apply LIGHTLY to the hoof with a brush paying particular attention to the area on and just above the coronet band. Shod OR Un Shod – Barefoot.
Do Not apply heavy amounts as this will not make the hoof healthier (or aid to repair the hoof) any quicker. “Mother Nature can only work so fast.” It will simply waste your time and money. The product contains pure oils and ingredients and therefore, what goes on, goes in and goes to work.
You will see it go into the hoof quickly (just like a good vitaminE cream on your own skin, against those cheap creams with lanolin, zinc or fillers that sit on your face). It doesn’t sit on the hoof in “globs” if the hoof is wet from washing down or stay on the surface to collect dirt and dust and it will not be wiped/brushed off. The patented Saligari Oil & exclusive natural SiliconeSF will help prevent the hoof drying out in Summer and the cold and damp getting in during the Winter, like a barrier cream. If you are on wet land or irrigated property it is just as important and can be even more so to look after the hoof during the wet – water weakens the structure of the hoof.
For Normal Upkeep (or good horse husbandry):
Use at least 2 or 3 times per week. Apply LIGHTLY to the hoof paying particular attention to the area on and just above the coronet band, and once a week to the frog/sole. Dependant on terrain and bedding etc. you will adjust to your own horses’ needs as you will see the improvement and be able to gauge from that.
For Minor repair of broken or hard hooves –
Use 3 to 5 times a week, then revert to normal upkeep. Apply LIGHTLY to the hoof paying particular attention to the area on and just above the coronet band and for the first week picking and applying to the sole and frog of the hoof. If you are using EquiloxT or similar then ensure you DO NOT oil the hoof a few days prior to application of the product and leave for 24 hours after it has been applied before you begin oiling the hoof (this gives the EquiloxT every chance to totally bond to the hoof and work at its best). After such work it is generally better to aid faster growth to begin as in this section, then going to normal upkeep.
For VERY Serious Grass/Sand Splits & Dried out/Badly broken Hooves/Quarter Cracks –
For the first 2 weeks apply top and bottom of the hoof once a day, reduce this to the top only paying attention to the coronet band for another 2 weeks, depending on the condition and severity in the first place, thereafter, you can go back to normal upkeep of only 2 to 3 times a week for normal maintenance.
You can allow as little as 6 weeks for a serious and dangerous perennial split going 3/4 the way up to the coronet band to be totally under control and a further 6 to 8 weeks to grow out depending on the over all health of the horse. You do not need to feed additional supplements for Worlds Best Hoof Oil to work if your horse is fed a well balanced healthy diet, as you are attending to the area that is required – THE HOOF.
The Product MAY NOT repair a god given or genetic fault in any animal, however, it will aid quickly to the repair and health of any hoof that has been a normal hoof and that has suffered for one reason or another through neglect, drought, flood or simply hard work.
Remember it is just as important to oil and keep the hoof in good condition in the middle of winter as it is in the dry of summer. The hoof soaks up water something like a sponge and this is detrimental to the hoof. Don’t ever forget that your Master/Correctional Farrier or your Vet are still your best friends.
